SNAP & DUFB

Frequently asked questions

DUFB

At the City Park Farmers Market, SNAP dollars can also be matched through Double Up Food Bucks, effectively doubling spending power on Colorado-grown produce up to $20. It’s one of the most direct ways the market supports both local farmers and families seeking better access to fresh food.

Q: What can I buy with SNAP/DUFB at the market?

SNAP can be used for groceries you prepare at home, including fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, eggs, bread, and packaged food products. It cannot be used for hot, ready-to-eat meals or non-food items. DUFB eligible items include Colorado grown fruits and vegetables.

Q: Do SNAP/DUFB benefits expire?

SNAP market bucks do not expire and may be used at any future City Park Farmers Market date. Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) tokens are valid through the end of the current market season and expire thereafter.

SNAP

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) allows eligible shoppers to use their benefits to purchase groceries directly at the market, including fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy, bread, and other food products.

Q: Where do I go?

SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) benefits can be accessed at the green City Park Farmers Market Information Tent, located halfway down the grassy Esplanade. At the tent, a volunteer will assist you in swiping your EBT card and provide you with market bucks to use with eligible vendors throughout the market.

Q: How does DUFB work?

When you use SNAP at the market, you’ll receive a dollar-for-dollar match (up to the daily limit of $20) to spend specifically on Colorado-grown fruits and vegetables.
